We are glad to have your student in Spicewood’s Second Grade!

This is a guide to help with frequently asked questions and important information.

Please complete the student contact information form and return it Monday.

Our lunch time is 11:31 – 12:01.

You may bring a healthy snack to eat mid-morning.

Our recess time is 12:15 - 12:45.  

Students may bring a water bottle with water only.

Communication:

My conference time is 8:00 – 8:50

Sign up for text message alerts by entering this number 81010 and text this message @7432738.  You will receive a message asking for your full name send your name back and you will be added.

We will attempt to return phone calls and emails within 24 hours.

Student homework folders will be sent home on Monday and should be initialed nightly and returned on the following Monday.  This will be explained at parent orientation.

Friday folders should be signed and returned Monday morning.  Please review and remove work weekly.   

Important Date:

Second grade parent orientation is Thursday, September 7.

Student led conferences will be on Tuesday, October 10. Sign - up will be available at parent orientation.

Student/Parent Handbook:

Many of the forms such as the student handbook are online. Please go to the Spicewood homepage and click on the registration tab. You will find a link to the  returning students required forms. This must be complete by September 6.
