Week of May 16, 2016

What a wonderful week in second grade. Thank you so much for all the wonderful treats and gifts on teacher appreciation week. It was truly heart warming. I want to thank you all for coming to the spring open house.  I was so proud of the students for all their hard work.
May activities:
As part of our final unit of inquiry, second graders will be participating in a Makerspace Building Day. Each child will need to bring a large bag full of items to build a structure.  Containers, cans, ribbons, materials, boxes, plastic items, buttons etc.  Think of this as a way to clean out the closet!
Each student will also need to bring a roll of masking tape to use to build the structure.

Please send these items in by Wednesday, May 18. Thank you

Tuesday is our second grade spirit night at MOD pizza from 5 to 8.  Hope to see you there

Please send in a large cloth bag to bring supplies home in.  This should be in the classroom with their name labeled on it by Friday, May 13.

Friday is field day.  Please remember to send a change of clothes with your child and put sunscreen on at home.  Your child may wear their bathing suit to school under their clothes.

The last principal's pride will be on Tuesday, May 24 at 8:00.
